The microwave oven is a marvel of modern kitchen engineering. It uses electromagnetic radiation to heat food quickly and efficiently without needing to use a conventional oven. At the heart of a microwave oven is its power source, typically either AC or DC current. This electricity runs through a magnetron tube, which produces microwaves at a frequency of 2.45GHz. These microwaves are directed into the cooking chamber by a waveguide and are absorbed by the food being cooked. The food molecules are now vibrating rapidly, producing the same type of heat that is produced in a traditional oven.

The power control circuit in the cooking chamber regulates the intensity of the microwaves and also turns them off when the cooking time has elapsed. A fan and ventilation system also circulates air in the cooking chamber, allowing the microwave oven to cool down after each use. A temperature sensor monitors the temperature and adjusts the power settings accordingly. All of these components work together to create a safe and efficient way to heat food in a matter of minutes.
