A 4 Bit Binary Adder Subtractor Circuit is a circuit that allows users to perform both addition and subtraction operations on two binary numbers. The circuit consists of four individual full adders, each responsible for adding one bit at a time, and two complement circuit blocks which provide the ability to subtract.

To understand the behaviour of the circuit and visualize how it works, let’s break it down into the smaller components. We start by looking at the individual full adders, which are responsible for adding one bit at a time. Each full adder consists of three binary inputs A, B, and Cin (carry in) and two binary outputs S (sum) and Cout (carry out). By examining the output from each of these full adders, one can determine the output of the overall circuit.

Finally, the 4 Bit Binary Adder Subtractor Circuit also contains two complement circuit blocks, which provide the ability to subtract. In order to subtract with the circuit, the input values A and B must first be inverted and the complemented output must be added to the inversion of B. This process is repeated until the result of the addition is 0. By doing this, we can see that this circuit captures the two fundamental operations of addition and subtraction, allowing users to perform mathematical operations on binary numbers with ease and accuracy.
